I have included links to the books as well as my thoughts and opinions on the book or books. Then I included the Goodreads rating. I keep track of my books on Goodreads and lots of people use the site so this gives you a good idea of how people feel about the book on average. Most books have lots of ratings and it’s out of 5 stars.
Books you should read this Fall
1. The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo by Amy Schumer
I knew Amy Schumer was funny but I didn’t know how much I was going to love her book. I didn’t know a lot about her as a person and she was so open and made even the hard parts of her life enjoyable and fun to read. Her story from working in tiny clubs barely making any money as a comic to being the star of her own show and movies is an inspiration to those of us wanting to build our lives up to something amazing.
Goodreads rating: 4.02/5
2. Truly Madly Guilty by Liane Moriarty
I love the way this author tells a story. You get parts of the story and then bits of detail leading up to the event so that it very slowly begins to make sense. It’s an interesting way to tell the story and really keep me reading so I can understand what is happening.
Goodreads rating: 3.63/5
3. Essentialim by Greg McKeown
If life ever feels overwhelming and it’s hard to really know what is important then you need to read this book. It goes over how to start living a life where you focus on what is on essential and the more important things. The book is full of great and practical information and advice.
Goodreads rating: 3.96/5
4. It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover
This was my first time reading a book by Colleen Hoover but I had seen it recommended by a lot of other bloggers. So I gave it a try and I’m glad I did. It was a really fantastic read and I’m glad I discovered a new author I like.
Goodreads rating: 4.62/5
5. You are a Badass by Jen Sinclair
One of the best books I’ve read in awhile. I read a lot and this book was awesome and better than most of them. The full title of the book is you are a badass: How to Stop doubting your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life and this book does just that. Every word was inspiring and motivated me to want to do better and be better. Give this book a read.
Goodreads rating: 4.09/5
These are the first two books in a trilogy and I am so excited for book number three to come out in February. Red queen is the first novel by Victoria Aveyard and she started with an amazing trilogy. I’m so excited for book three to come out but I also don’t want the story to end.
Goodreads rating: 4.10/5 Goodreads rating: 3.98/5
The first two books of this newest Nora Roberts trilogy with the last one arriving early next year. I love a good Nora Trilogy. They are fairly predictable in some ways especially if you have read her work before. That’s part of the fun, though, you know they are going to be easy and enjoyable reads and this trilogy has started out and may be one of my favorites yet.
Goodreads rating: 4.00/5 Goodreads rating: 4.17/5
10. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Mass
This is the latest book in the Throne of Glass Series it is number 5 of 6. The last book is supposed to be released sometime next year. The whole series is fantastic and this latest book is wonderful. It’s a young adult full of fantasy and romance and a war to save their world.
