I’m doing the back to blogging challenge with the Sits girls.Today is about back to school. It can be about when I went to school as a child or about my kid going back to school.
One thing I remember about going back to school was the one time my dad had to take me shopping. I think I was in 2nd or 3rd grad and I needed jeans, for some reason my mom who usually took us shopping couldn’t take me so my dad had too. My parents didn’t have a lot of money and had three kids so we got good clothes but we weren’t getting name brand expensive clothes. So my dad took me and I talked him into these jeans I really wanted and he bought them. We got home and my mom was so mad. They were like half what my entire shopping budget should be for one pair of jeans and my dad was like “how was I supposed to know?” and I was like 7 or 8 so it wasn’t like I was focused on the price but she was so mad. So that was the one time I got really nice, expensive jeans growing up.
With my daughter we are so lucky because she has tons of grandparents who love to spoil her and buy her so much clothing. I buy her like 3 items a year. She gets clothes for Christmas, then usually a couple outfits around Easter as presents, Then she goes to her grandparents in the summer and her grandma gets her like thousand things, then it’s her birthday in October then Christmas again. Which is so nice for us because she loves clothes and shoes, such a girly girl.
Here are her first day of school pictures from the last three years. Why do they grow up so fast?
