I’ve missed a few days of this challenge but I’m back and will do my best to get most days done. Well here is the September 9th prompt.
Let’s talk personality types. Introverted? Extroverted? Unsure-troverted? 😉 If you know your Myers-Briggs type, tell us about it! If not, you can take this similar test and share your results.
In high school I took the Myer-s Briggs test and I got evenly introverted and extroverted. According to a friend of mine who works in psychology that is pretty rare for someone in their teens to get. As you get older you tend to become some of both because you learn to be a little more outgoing when needed if you are shy and a little more reserved when appropriate if you are real outgoing. I’m right down the middle. I can be very friendly and sociable and then also very quiet and withdrawn. I tend to take on the personalities of those around me. My husband is quiet and shy so when I’m around him I’m more reserved but the family I grew up in is very loud so when I’m around them I’m very loud and talkative.
It’s weird but I like it because I can go back and forth and am some of both and can force myself to pull out the personality I need in the given situation. Since most people see me with my husband they assume I’m more quiet and shy but then when they get me alone or in a different group I can be really different.

I’m thought I was an extrovert but it turns out I’m more of an introvert.

At my old job we did Myers-Briggs test but I can’t remember which I was now. I’d say I am an introvert in new situations and extrovert when I’m around people I know. For example when we have kids worship songs at church, I’m often the first one up the front to lead the actions or the first on the dance floor at a party. But I went to a mother and baby group last week and spent most of the morning on my own not talking to anyone, partially because I was terrified but also because no-one would speak to me 🙁

I’m definitely more of an introvert when it comes to social situations. On a one-on-one level, I’m probably more extroverted. Depends on the people, I suppose!

I’m more of an introvert than anything, but I do have spurts of (short) being extroverted. Then I need to crawl back into my house and have some downtime to recoup my energy. Otherwise I get very irritable and cranky.

ENTJ – I basically need to be told if people need to talk about something, because i never notice if something is wrong. But I love to hear about it!

I’m shy too until I get to know someone. Then good luck with that, haha. I love being with my family and friends. I hope your having a great day!

Wow, how rare to be a perfect mix of both. I’m introverted for sure 🙂

I think your surroundings play a huge part on whether you are looked as an introvert or extrovert. I think I could be both at diff times.

That is very interesting! When I took the test a few years ago I was wayyyyy on the introverted side. It would be fun to take it again now, because I’m a lot more outgoing.

Very interesting! I tend to be shy and reserved around people I am not close with but with my close family members and my boyfriend, I am very outgoing!
