This week started my Spring Cleaning Challenge. I am working really hard week one and want to keep up with this challenge over the next few weeks. I want to do what I can to make this a little easier and more pleasant. I have found that if you can make it not so much work and unpleasant than I will be more willing to stick with it.
I am a huge fan of Alejandra’s from Alejandra.tv. She is a cleaning and organization master. She recently put together a video on putting together a cleaning kit. I knew if I put a spring cleaning kit together it would make spring cleaning easier.
So I headed to Target which happens to be one of my favorite places, Just ask my husband he’ll tell you I love it too much. I had some cleaning stuff at home but I wanted to find a few more things and a kit to hold them in. There were some great sales on Air Wick® Scented Oil Warmer. I know that a nice smelling home makes for a better home that feels great. So I picked up some plugins and two types of refills. It was hard to choose just two because they all smelled so great.Â
I also made sure to grab some Lysol Disinfectant Spray because there have been some colds going around and we were sick enough in this house in January and February. I want to do what I can to prevent germs spreading around.Â
Then when I got home I put together my kit. I wanted to make sure I had all the things I need for each room so that I don’t have to travel back and forth around the home for cleaning supplies. Other than the bathroom cleaners those I just left in the bathroom.Â
My kit includes
- The caddy itself
- microfiber cloths ( I have two in the kit)
- A sponge
- baking soda
- All purpose cleaner
- Glass cleaner
- furniture cleaner
- Lysol Disinfectant Spray
- Air Wick® Scented Oil Warmer
- plastic bags
So I put everything in the kit and found the best way to organize things so that they fit and were pretty evenly weighted on each side. Then so that I didn’t forget where things I used Alejandra’s tip and got out my label maker and labeled where I wanted things to go. Â I love getting a new opportunity to put labels on something.Â
So there’s my spring cleaning kit and it will be coming room to room with me as I spring clean during this challenge. I’m so ready for my home to finally be clean and organized. It already smells great thanks to these new air fresheners. I used the American Samoa scent first and I love it. It started working immediately as soon as I plugged in it.Â
Have you done any spring cleaning this year so far?
