Oh yuck today is supposed to be over a 100 degrees and all weekend will be hotter. Please Fall hurry up and get here before I melt. So I’m spending my time on the computer in from of the air conditioner and avoiding the outdoors. I’ve never really liked being hot but now the heat can trigger seizures and seizure symptoms so I avoid it as much as possible.
For today’s prompt it’s all about traditions.Tell us about a favorite tradition. It could be a family tradition or from a holiday, university, you-name-it. What makes it so special?
There are two family traditions that were started when I was little that have carried on till now.
First. For birthday’s we do a family dinner. The birthday person gets to pick the restaurant and then the family goes out. Now that my sister and her family don’t live near by we include my grandmas and celebrate their birthday’s that way it’s more like a mini party. I just love going out to dinner and getting everyone together.

The other tradition I really enjoy is Christmas eve. We would always decorate cookies and get ti open up one present. That wa we got a little something the night before and santa hadn’t come yet so it was one of my parents gifts to us. We do the same thing with our daughter, Well she gets two gifts because it was my husbands family tradition to get Christmas Pajamas on Christmas Eve so she gets those and gets to pick one gift. We decorate Santa cookies as well. Sometimes with my family sometimes with my in-laws, sometimes just the three of us it varies from year to year.
