It’s Friday! I hope you all are having a great day and are getting ready for an amazing weekend.
next week is the last day of school for my bug. She will be ending first grade and starting second in the fall. It amazes me how much she grows and changes each school year. This year she has become such a great reader. Though she’s such a nut about it. I told her yesterday she had to read a couple chapters of her book before she could watch TV. She came out and told me it was making her tongue tired. I asked how that was. She said because she has to read the words out loud. I said she could read them in her head but that made no since apparently. Luckily she survived the pain of three tiny chapters.
Two- This weekend the husband and I are going on a date to see The Fault in our stars. I’ve got tissues and I’ve warned him I’m going to cry. I’ve read the book so I know what I’m getting into but I’m excited to see it. Plus we need a date. It’s been a stressful couple weeks.
Three- I’ve been using Herbalife and am part of a weight loss challenge run by a high school friend. I’ve lost ten pounds in the last month. I have a ways to go to hit my final goals but am excited to see the numbers moving down on the scale. I’m also doing the #1000in30 exercise challenge with Erin from Living in Yellow. So hopefully exercise will speed up the weight loss some more.
Five- I’m excited about an upcoming post I’m working on about my summer book list. I have so many books in my nook and on my bookshelves to read I’m hoping that making a list will help me start getting through some of them. I also need to stop getting new ones. Easier said then done. I love to read.
