The school year is over for my bug. She is no longer a first grader. She has been playing with the neighbors most of today. She is always so busy during the summer. She stays with her grandma for two weeks in July and stays with family other over nights. Another blogger I follow asked the question on Facebook of how to manage screen time in the summer. My way of doing it is just to have balance. If she plays outside a lot during the day and is real active I let her watch more TV and play on the computer. If it’s a hot day and she wants to be inside she has to read a few chapters of one of her books in between screen time. She gets a good amount of screen time but the balance makes me feel like it’s not all she does.
I love the weight loss I’ve been experiencing in the last five weeks. It’s a six week challenge and I’m down a little more than ten pounds. On Monday I start a 30 day challenge. Having online support and seeing others do it keeps me motivated. I was getting heavier than I liked. I put on some weight since the stroke. My medicine makes me heavier and I am not as active. So this is my chance to get my weight down by October when I turn 30.
Over on my blog karissaancell.com I’m starting a social media weekly challenge. Find out more about it here. I’m excited to really help new bloggers get more familiar with growing their social media presence.

The husband and I saw The Fault in our Stars. I knew it was going to make me cry and it did for sure. It was a great book and also a fantastic movie.
