We are in August now and cruising through the second half of the year. I had a good July but we were very busy with family in town and summer activities so my to do list didn’t get as completed as I would have liked. So I have big hopes for my goals for August.
I’m excited to really make some big moves and complete some projects this month with my blog and business. These monthly goals keep me focused and moving on the right track throughout the year. Even when I don’t get everything all done I’m still doing more than I would without my goals.
That’s why I’ve been having such a good year with my blog in 2016 I believe because I’m setting my goals and working hard to accomplish them the best that I am able to. This is helping me get so much more done this year than I had in the years before.
Here were my July Goals
Here are my Goals for August!
1. To get my email subscribers to 2000
This would be adding 1400 subscribers to my list. This is a huge number but I am committed to growing my list this month and most of my to do list tasks this month are things that are going to help me grow my list.
2. to make 3 new printables or worksheets as upgrades
I want to go back to popular posts and make some content upgrades for them. I also want to make really good upgrades that my readers will want to have. This will be something that really helps grow my list.
3. Write 2 guest posts
I plan to send out a pitch to guest post on 5 different blogs this week. My hope is that at least 2 of them will want me to guest post. If more do that would be great. If not then I will send out more pitches. I took July kind of easy and want to really step up my efforts and get things done this month.
4. Finish and launch my free email course
I’m so close to being done with this free course. I’m loving it so far and think it’s going to be amazing. It’s a course on how to be more productive and get more accomplished.
I need to get one more day of the course written up, edit it all, add images and get it set up in Convertkit. Then I will be ready to launch.
5. I need to fix up my header and sidebar
I fixed up my About page in July which was a good start to sprucing up my blog and making it more useful. Now this month I want to change up my sidebar and header. I know I’m not using the space well and have been studying other blogs that I like for ideas.
I want to show off more of my work, have more opt-in options, getting it looking nicer and more organized and more. I’m excited to get it done and all put together. This will also lead to more email subscribers I’m hoping.
6. Read at least 4 books
I read a lot in July and really got caught up on my goal for the year. I want to continue that into August. Plus I read a lot of great books this summer and want to do a reading list for fall for my blog.
I usually do one for the summer and it’s well liked so I want to read a couple books in my to read pile so I can decide whether to add them to my list. So I’m aiming for one book a week at least.
I’d love to hear your goals for August, my friend. I appreciate you and I’m so grateful for your presence here on this blog.
