We are now in my favorite month of the year. I’m an October baby and I had an October baby so October is a month of celebrating for us. My daughter turned 11 on the 1st. Which is crazy, she’s growing up too fast. So I plan to work hard and accomplish a lot this month while still having a lot of fun.
I ended up not being as productive as I would have liked to have been in September. I suffer from depression and went through a bout of it in September which left me not feeling like doing much. Luckily I don’t have feel like this all the time but when I do it feels like a waste of time. It’s ok it’s a new month and a fresh start and I hope to have a great October. I have some great goals set for October and I am excited to get started on getting things done.
Here were my Goals for September 2017
1. Update 5 old posts ( I think I updated 3)
2. create two new opt-ins to increase email sign-ups (nope)
3. set up my affiliate program (looked into it but not done yet)
4. finish my challenge and launch (nope)
5. read 5 books (yes)
6. start a facebook group (nope)
My Goals for October 2017
1,
finish my affiliate training course
Last year I purchased the Genius Bloggers Toolkit. Check out this year’s toolkit here. Last year’s came with Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers so I’m working through this course now. I know that my affiliate sales are one area of my blog income I could really improve a lot. That’s the awesome thing about this blogging bundle you get so many resources that you can slowly work through on your own schedule.
2. update old posts and optimize for affiliate sales
I’m learning how to best use affiliate links in posts. I want to go through my best traffic posts and optimize them for affiliate income. I hope to do 3-5 in October so that through the holidays I have a lot of good money making posts.
3. finish my challenge and launch it
My challenge is outlined and I’ve written a few of the days but it’s a 30-day challenge so I still have a lot of writing to do. The challenge is going to be 30 days of less and how to make your life easier and more simple.
4. read 5 books
What good books have you read lately? I’d love for you to leave a comment and share it with us. I’m always looking for good books to check out.
5. update my free productivity course
My free courses on Pinterest and Productivity both need an update and to be gone through and spruced up. I created them awhile ago and it’s important that I go through them and keep them current. I’m starting with the productivity course first.
