So I have been slacking on doing this weekly challenge but I’m back at it this weekend. So what is my greatest accomplishment? I have a few things I’m proud of but only one of them is truly an accomplishment in my mind and I will explain why.
Some would say surviving my stroke could be considered an accomplishment but that’s not what I choose. The reason being I think that so much of my recovery has to do with the doctors and what they did. Also so much of why I recovered so much was because I was so young at the time of my stroke, that I had just moved near a great hospital so I had the best care possible. So although I worked hard at recovery there is so much credit I can’t take for the progress I have made.
I think that my real greatest accomplishment would be my marriage. Marriage isn’t easy and it’s a lot of work. We have been through a lot in the last 11 years but we are still together and in a lot of ways better than ever. We were so young when we got married and we have grown up so much during our marriage.
I’m very proud that we have been able to stay together through some very hard times. We’ve faced living with family, having no money, having a colicky baby, his car accident, my stroke. I’m so proud of the accomplishments we’ve made as a couple and the daughter we’ve raised together.
