I missed yesterday’s post but I knew days like that would happen. It’s about a million degrees here in San Diego and the heat makes me tired and dizzy so my blogging has suffered some.
So today’s prompt is: “Most people don’t know this but…” This one is a hard one for me because I’m pretty open and share a lot about myself with people. So coming up with what people don’t know is a challenge.
So Most people don’t know this about me but I have baby fever.
I guess one thing I don’t talk often about on my blog but I do talk about in real life is my desire to grow my family. My husband and I knew from day one we wanted children. I knew from the time I was a little girl I wanted to be a mom. After getting married we started tying it took a year and a half to get pregnant and we also lost a pregnancy during that time. I loved becoming a mom and having my little girl. We had never really discussed spacing for our kids. I’m close in age to my siblings and my husbands a lot younger than his siblings. We also were struggling financially when our daughter was little so having a second child on top of that wasn’t ideal. Then when Bella was 3 I had my stroke. I was told for the first year and half after the stroke I should not have anymore pregnancies so we planned to adopt someday in the future. Then after extensive testing by my neurologist they reconsidered the cause of the stroke and decided me getting pregnant wasn’t off limits. That was about two years ago.
I really want another child and so does my husband and daughter we are just trying to make sure that financially and everything we are ready for another child. I do have some limitations physically and my pregnancy would be more high risk which is why I have been working on weight loss and health. To get my body in better shape to support a pregnancy. We also have been trying to get our budget and finances in better order so that there is no money stress from a new baby.
I really want to at least be pregnant by the time my daughter is turn, she’s about to turn 8. I never planned for such a huge age gap but it is what it is. We just know that we are meant to have more children and our family. So Hopefully in the next year or two you will find out I’m pregnant. We also still think we might adopt in the future as well. I’ve always wanted to adopt.
I love my family and am excited for it to grow in the future.
