I don’t consider summer to start till my daughter is out of school. She gets out on Thursday so I’ve been planning what we are going to do.
The kiddo doesn’t know it but she is going out of town the next week with my grandma to visit my sister and kids on the East coast. She will be gone for nine days. We haven’t told her because she will get so excited to fly out to see her cousins she will ask me non stop if it’s time to leave and I don’t want to be driven insane. So we are going to tell her a couple days before she goes. We are also planning to go to Sea World the weekend after school gets out. We have passes and want to use them before the summer heats up too much.
While our daughter is gone we plan to clean and redecorate her room. There needs to be a lot of toy purging and organizing going on. I’ve been collecting ideas from Pinterest for playrooms and kids bedrooms. This board has my ideas so far and some summer project ideas to do with Isabella http://pinterest.com/karissaa/summer-craftsprojects/
My plan is to try to do everything as inexpensively as possible. I know she needs a new bookcase so I’m going to look at garage sales and refurbish one. She has to much stuff so getting rid of some and organizing will make a big change.
She will also be gone with her grandma for two weeks in July so we will have more time and I have other areas of the house I’d like to work on. I also plan to really do a lot of changes with my blog. With design, content, etc.
When Bella gets back I imagine there will be a lot of beach and pool, I’m pretty sure she is part fish as much as she likes to be in water. If the weather isn’t super hot then we will go to Sea World more. There are a lot of movies coming out this summer and it’s a good way to stay cool. We go to the first showing at nearby theaters and the tickets are pretty cheap so we will probably do that often.
Bella has two trips but the husband and I are home for the summer which is fine. Next summer we are going to take a trip for our tenth wedding anniversary. This summer I want to do a lot close to home and in our home. Luckily we live in San Diego so there are plenty of fun things to do close by.
