I can’t believe but yesterday was three years since my first blog post. I had no idea when I started this blog that I would still be blogging 3 years later. I’m so glad I am though. It’s been a great journey, I’ve learned a lot, had a lot of fun and met some wonderful people. I’m so happy to have discovered this world of blogging. I’m so excited to see what I learn in the next three years and to see where my blog takes me. So for this post I’m going to share my three favorite blogging tips, five of my favorite posts, a gift card giveaway and a code for advertising discount. Use the code threeyears for 50% off any ad space. I hope you’ll help me celebrate by getting an ad space!
My three favorite blogging tips
1. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Pinterest brings in the biggest chunk of blog traffic but I’m trying to spread it among other channels further than I already have. You never know when things will change with social media and what if Pinterest changes it’s algorithm I don’t want to loose all my traffic. So try to spread it out.
2. I have found that blogging everyday works best for me and my blog. It brings in good traffic because there are lots of new posts. Sometimes I will skip a day here and there if I have to and sometimes I will have two posts. I think the key is consistency. If you can’t blog everyday that’s fine choose what works for you and be consistent. I will take a day off here or there but I’m not going to disappear for a couple weeks. My readers might not come back.
3. Be you. There are a lot of bloggers and no matter what your niche there are loots of other bloggers in that same niche. There is only one you and you are the only blogger with your voice. So share your voice with your readers. Right your posts as you and with your voice. Don’t try to be anyone else or mimic any other bloggers. The more real and authentic you are the more your readers are going to connect with you!
