I am very excited to participate in Tour through Blogland when I was invited by Bethany from The Southern Corture. . What a great way to get to know all the bloggers we love and see into a small part of their life.
So if this is your first time visiting my blog. Let me introduce myself. I am Karissa, I have been married for ten years to my high school boyfriend Blake. We have a daughter named Isabella who is awesome and almost eight.
We also have a house full of pets. 2 cars, a dog, a turtle and some fish.
1) What am I working on?
Right now I am working on growing my blog and developing a larger following. I’m also starting to vaguely put together plans for an ebook. Though that won’t be done for a long time I’m sure but I’m hoping to have one done in the future. I’m also going to be participating in the Nesting Place’s 31 days in October.
2) How does my work differ from others from its genre?
I think my work is different than other bloggers because of my unique life experiences. I went through a Stroke at 25 and it changed me greatly and really makes me look at life differently and appreciate life more. So I am a different blogger than I would have been before the stroke or if it had never happened.
Me with the best daughter and my super amazing niece.
3) Why do I write/create what I do?
I write because it is one of my favorite ways to communicate and I feel very open in my writing. I also want to build relationships with people and get to know them through their blogs and have them get to know me. I have always been a reader but never knew how much I would grow to love being a writer. This blog has become my passion and I love being a blogger.
an older picture but one of my favorites.
4) How does your writing/creating process work?
The process usually begins with me identifying a problem that I or someone I know am having with budget or organization and then thinking about solutions or information I have that I could pass on to my readers. I also spend a lot of time reading magazines, blogs, browsing Pinterest to see what areas of life could be improved and what I could write about and share to help others out.
Thanks again to Bethany for including me in this tour.
